For two weeks now, Chef Morin and his staff have been randomly selecting at least one table per day to be “bailed out” at his popular restaurant and bar at Yonge and King.

The financial district's Beerbistro launched its stimulus package a couple of weeks ago, whereby each day at least one randomly selected table will, instead of a cheque receive a card announcing that they've been "bailed out" of dinner and that their bill is on the house.

Can't afford the capon? Pay whatever. Maybe we'll even bail you out. As the downturn deepens, some restaurateurs are getting creative.







Best pulled pork is also the messiest.
