Known by the folks at Port Brewing as “The Big Black Nasty”, Old Viscosity may look like it was scraped from the crankcase of your dad’s old Chevy Malibu, but it tastes way better than that. Port Brewing produces their high-test black beer in stainless steel, ages a portion of it for 6 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels, and then blends it back with a younger version straight from the tank. Best enjoyed in a pair of coveralls, it’s a tarry mix of coffee, wood, burning booze and dark fruit.
