Dogfish Head's blackberry/blueberry beer is the bear in our fruity category. While many fruit beers are sweet and straight forward, this one carries more complexity, and drinks closer to some of the beers we usually label as 'robust'. While still somewhat sweet, most of the berries come through in the aroma rather than the flavour, which is dominated by the effects of Belgian yeasts. Expect spicy, tart and earthy notes that level out the 'fruit' in this fruit beer.
