Bordering the rarified ground between IPAs and Double IPAs is this solid release from Sierra Nevada. Dry-hopped for extra fresh aromas, and making use of the powerful Magnum hop throughout the brewing process, there still remains a smooth balance of malt in this ale. Thoroughly drinkable despite (or because of?) its higher alcohol content, this is the kind of beer that slips its bitterness in the back door, where you were least expecting it.
